If the root is curved does it have to be axtracted?
In most cases even teeth with curved roots can be saved by root canal treatment (RCT) .
One of my teeth broke? What can You do with it?
In cases when there is enogh remaining tooth structure we can palce a dowel core in the root following RCT, and place a fixed restoration, crown on the tooth.
I am gagging during dental treatment and the fear of vomiting keeps me from visiting a dentist. What can I do?
Gagging and strong gag reflex is a very common problem during dental treatment. You should have your common sign with your dentist (lifting of your left hand ) which means that the treatment should be interrupted for a while.
How can I whiten my teeth?
Discoloration of teeth is mostly due to coffee, tea, red wine, coke and smoking. In office or at home tooth whitening procedures together with eliminating staining beverages from your diet will make your teeth whiter.
Does scaling hurt? How often is it rcommended?
The more often you visit your dentist the less inconvenient is scaling. You should have scaling and polish every 3-4 month done.
Is there an age limit for orthodontics?
As long as you have your own teeth, orthodontic treatment can be done.
Is there a guarantee for orthodontic treatment?
Yes of course there is. But all instructions of the dentist have to be strictly followed. (e.g.: using the removable applience for a given period of time after fixed-applience treatment.)
Is caries reversible?
At the very beginning, when only outer layers of the enamel are affected, using high fluoride content mouth rinse, tooth-paste and better oral-hygiene can stop the caries.
What kind of tooth-brush should I use?
It is not the brand. „Medium”is mostly recommended and the brush-head should not be too big. Find out more about the right brushing technique from your dentist.
What kind of tooth-past should I use?
Most brands on the market are very good, you should try to choose one that contains fluorides.
How often do I have to floss?
Once a day. It helps to keep tha approximal surfaces clean, that can not be reached by tooth-brush.
Which one is better: amalgam or composite fillings?
Due to higher esthetic demands and improved quality of composite filling materials we use more of the white fillings today. However this does not mean, that all amalgam fillings should be replaced. According to expert opinions and scientific evidence it is not required to replace a functionally good amalgam filling because of esthetics.
How often should I visit my dentist for a regular check-up?
Once in every 3-4 months. In some cases 6 month is enough. You should consult your dentist about your individual need.
How often do I have to buy a new tooth-brush?
It is good to replace it every 1-2 months to avoid infections.
I wear orthodontic applience, how can I keep it clean?
It is advasible to clean the applience after every meal. Besides regular toothbrushing you should use some special instruments to clean , like interdental brushes and dental floss.

Placementof a dental implant doe not hurt. We do it in local anaesthesia and you would not feel any pain during the procedure.

How can I stop clenching at night?
